Brandy & Coke - Ewen Spencer

If you have any interest in music you should watch this video.

A great insight into the UKG scene, including the music and the fashion. I'm lucky enough to have a copy of the Ewen Spencer UKG photo book, and this mini documentary brings the photos to life perfectly.

Latest purchases 18/11/13

I've been terrible at blogging over the past few weeks, I've just started a new job so I've been really busy and exhausted! This is just a quick one showing a few of the purchases I've made recently - great for me but not so great for my bank balance.

Tartan Trousers - River Island
These fit like an absolute dream! They're really comfortable and they were really affordable at £34.99, definitely great value for money.

Adidas Greenstars
These are my first pair of Greenstars. The Adidas sale was like Christmas come early, so many bargains to be had! These were a steal at only £19.50, and at that price you can't go wrong.

Adidas Tech Super 2
I've had my eye on these for a while, I was unsure on whether to get them until again, the Adidas sale proved to be incredible and they cost me only £53.50. I couldn't say no at that price. The quality of the materials are great and I love the shape of the midsole.

Nail FADE

Nail fades are probably the easiest DIY nail art there is, all you require is a sponge. It's probably self-explanatory, however, all you do is apply the 'fade' nail varnish onto the sponge and then dab it onto your nails until you're happy with the given effect.

I used Essie 'Vanity Fairest' (Which is my absolute favourite nail varnish) for the base colour, and for the fade nail varnish I used Nails Inc 'Bluebell'. The colours are completely different however they work well together for this look - a great idea is to use two similar colours and create an ombre effect.

Sweet as Sugar

Even though we're now way into Autumn, those soft pastels that were so popular throughout the warmer months are still being seen everywhere. To pay a sort of homage to this, I've opted for Rimmel's Lasting Finish nail varnish in 'Sweet as Sugar'.

I love the whole Rimmel 'Lasting Finish' range as the polishes are easy to apply and the brush allows for thick application with only one or two coats. I also used the Miss Sporty 'Glossy Tech' as a top coat as it gives the nails a shine like that of a professionally done manicure - if you do your own nails often then I can't recommend this enough!

You can buy Sweet as Sugar and the rest of the Rimmel Lasting Finish range here.

OOTD 21/10/13

I haven't worn these jeans in about a year and a half so I decided it was time to get them out of my wardrobe and add a little colour to my outfit. I usually stick to mainly blacks/greys/whites/navy so these jeans are pretty out there for me! I've matched it with the jumper from my 'Latest Purchases' post, I think that the clashing colours work well together.

Jumper - Charity shop
Jeans - River Island
Trainers - Nike (Air Max 95 'Valentines')
